What the texts look like
A tip during pregnancy
Week 28: Get to know your baby's usual pattern of movement. If the movements slow down or change, call your provider or labor unit right away. Don't wait until the next day.
A tip for a support person
Week 36: Sam could go into labor in the next few weeks. Now is a good time to put the car seat in and pack a bag for yourself: snacks, a phone charger and a change of clothes.
A question answered
QUESTION Is coffee OK while I'm pregnant?
Most experts say up to 200 mg of caffeine a day is fine during pregnancy. That's about one 12-oz cup of coffee. Remember that tea, soda and chocolate have caffeine too. Ask your provider if you're not sure what's right for you.

Do I need an app or an account?
No. Everything happens by text message. There's no app to download and no login.
Is my information private?
Yes. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for marketing. Your phone number, name, due date and messages are encrypted when stored. See our Privacy Policy for the details.

Yes. Partners, family members, friends and doulas can sign up for the support version. You'll get tips written for you, matched to the pregnancy week.
Is BirthBot medical advice?
No. BirthBot is for education only. It doesn't replace care from your doctor, midwife or other provider. Always ask them about your own health and your baby's health.
